Untangling is a six-part workshop series for autistic, neurodivergent and chronically ill NDIS participants who want to better understand their needs, build supports that actually work for them, and make navigating the NDIS feel a little more manageable.
Across the series, Cassie explores everything from identifying your support needs and building your support team, through to communication, navigating change, managing the hidden work of being an NDIS participant, and the unique complexities of knowing the system from both sides.
The complete series includes:

Identifying your needs and translating them into supports that work for you.
2. Building Your Support Team
Finding the right people, communicating what you need and setting yourself up for success.
3. The People Part
Communication, boundaries, relationships and navigating the human side of support.

Staying informed and maintaining your agency while the NDIS continues to change.
5. The Hidden Work of Being a Participant
Naming and managing the cognitive load, admin and invisible work that comes with navigating the NDIS.
6. When You Know the System From Both Sides
Exploring the complexities of navigating the NDIS as both a participant and a health or disability professional.

About the facilitator
Untangling is facilitated by Cassie, a social worker and the founder of Nearish Support. Her work is grounded in lived experience and centres the often unseen labour of navigating support systems, with a focus on accessibility, sustainability, and care.
