Welcoming Tim + a note on bookings 🪴
Hi everyone,
I have a few updates to share with you about what’s happening at Nearish Support:
Welcoming Tim to Nearish
A new support worker called Tim (he/him), will be joining Nearish Support. All current and new Nearish clients are welcome to book sessions with him via the usual online booking system or by contacting us. He will have available session times from next week!
I’ve worked closely with Tim in previous roles and can say with confidence that he embodies the same approach and values that Nearish is built on. I’m excited for you to meet him via our Instagram or website soon - Meet Tim.
Bookings with me (Cassie)
You might notice that the website and booking system now say I’m not taking new clients. This is true for new enquiries only (i.e. for someone who has never contacted Nearish before). If you’ve ever had an intro chat, sent me an email, or booked a session before, you are considered a current client and can keep booking regular and as needed appointments with me as usual.
Daylight savings reminder
With daylight savings starting soon in many states (including NSW where we’re based), we are eagerly watching our booking system to make sure that everything switches over as planned.
So that things keep running as smoothly as possible, we ask that you check that the correct timezone is selected when you book online - especially if you’re outside of NSW! And especially if you’re using a VPN that may skew your location. The Timezone section shows like this
Change
I also want to pause here and acknowledge something important: I know that change, especially introducing new people, may bring up mixed things. For many, opening up to Nearish in the first place, and to me personally, was a big step. It takes time to build trust and a sense of safety, and that’s not something I take lightly.
If or when you’re open to it, there can be benefits to having more than one person in your support team. Sometimes that looks like having someone else to meet with if I’m away, or a chance to see how another person’s style might fit with you.
That being said, there’s absolutely no expectation to book with Tim - you’re welcome to keep working just with me if that feels best. If you are curious though, I’d encourage you to give Tim a try. And if you end up liking his style even more than mine I will not be offended!
If you'd like any further information about anything mentioned above or have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Cassie :)
